naddaUnion Health Ministry has sought a report from the Uttar Pradesh government on the Baba Raghav Das Medical College hospital tragedy in Gorakhpur, in which 60 children have been killed due to shortage of oxygen supply during the last five days.

Union Health Minister J P Nadda has sought a report and other details about the death of the children from state Health Minister Sidharthnath Singh and state Technical and Medical Education Minister Ashutosh Tandon immediately.

Meanwhile, Mr Nadda has rushed his deputy and Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Anupriya Patel to Gorakhpur.

Ms Patel, who is MP from Mirzapur in UP, has already reached Gorakhpur and was talking to the officials of the BRD hospital.

Mr Singh and Mr Tandon have reached BRD hospital for reviewing the situation.
