At least 13 people have been killed after a fire broke out in a busy nightclub in Kostroma, Russia.
According to state media, a fire broke out when a drunk customer at the nightclub fired a flare gun on the dance floor which ignited parts of the lighting rig on the ceiling, quickly filling the room with smoke. It took several hours to extinguish the fire. A suspect said to be a local resident, has been arrested. The exact number of people inside the club at the time is not known, but 250 people were able to evacuate.
