Defence Minister Arun Jaitley informed the Lok Sabha on Friday that the Defence Research and Development Organisation, DRDO, has developed nutritious foods for personnel deployed at high altitudes and in snow-bound areas.
These include chicken biscuits, protein-rich mutton bar, composite cereals bar, egg protein biscuits, protein-based chocolates and anti-fatigue Tulsi Bar. DRDO has transferred production technologies to various industries for bulk production of these items, Mr. Jaitley said.
