The office of the Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary was raided by CBI yesterday in a corruption case triggering a fresh face-off between the AAP and Centre.
On the other hand, CBI has categorically denied having seized any material during searches conducted at office of Delhi Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary yesterday which are not relevant to investigation. Briefing media in New Delhi this evening, CBI spokesperson Devpreet Singh said the seizures during the searches were done in presence of independent witnesses as per procedure.
She further said the search cum seizure memo containing details of all seized items will be produced before the competent court. Ms. Singh reiterated that Delhi Chief Minister’s office was neither searched nor sealed. She said CBI neither prevented nor disallowed any person in their movement to various offices in Delhi Secretariat including Chief Minister’s Office.
