Delhi and its adjoining areas received light spells of rain today under the impact of cyclone Tauktae. The cyclone has moved north-northeastwards across Rajasthan to west Uttar Pradesh after making landfall in Gujarat on Monday. The rain brought down the temperature in the national capital to 23 degrees Celsius.

India Meteorological Department, IMD on Wednesday issued warning for National Capital Delhi predicting heavy to very heavy rainfall and gusty winds. It said, the rains are result of interaction between the remnant of cyclonic storm Tauktae and a Western Disturbance. Rainfall activity is very likely to decrease tomorrow.

Delhi’s air quality has improved to the satisfactory category.
