According to election authorities, by the end of the first-round counting, the TRS is leading in 57 divisions while BJP is leading in 13 divisions and AIMIM in 32. The Congress is in lead in 3 divisions. AIR correspondent reports, except in one or two, the counting of votes in all divisions of the GHMC is underway peacefully. Moulali division counting has been stopped following a conflict of figures on the ballot papers.

Though in small numbers, the counting of postal ballots has raised the hopes for BJP candidates as the party shown its leads in over 80 segments. However, after the end of the first round, the leads are getting stabilised.

At many places, close contests between TRS and BJP are seen. The AIMIM is leading at several old city divisions. Declaration of results is slowly taking place. And the political picture of the GHMC elections will be clearer during next few hours.
