One BSF jawan died after suffering splinter injuries in ceasefire violation by Pakistan in Abdullian area in R.S.Pura sector, in Jammu and Kashmir. An earlier report said six civilians have been injured in R.S.Pura sector in Pakistani firing this morning.
The injured have been referred to Government Medical College hospital in Jammu. Pakistan forces resorted to heavy shelling in R.S. Pura and Samba sectors of Jammu district today.
According to Defence sources, Pakistani Rangers started unprovoked shelling targetting Indian posts and civilian areas in Arnia area of R.S. Pura around 9 PM. Later, they also started heavy shelling in Ramgarh area of adjoining Samba sector and other areas of R.S. Pura.
