MANJHIFormer Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi has said he will demand 90 seats from BJP in case his party Hindustani Awam Morcha forms an alliance with the ruling party at Centre for the upcoming assembly elections. He said these assembly seats have sizeable number of SC, OBC and minority voters and his party has strong hold there.

Manjhi, however said there has no formal talks with the BJP on tie-up issue so far and his party will take a call on it after 15th of this month.

Mr Manjhi termed the JD(U) and RJD tie-up as an unholy alliance alleging the two parties have come together only for power and they do not have any development agenda. He wondered how Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kuamr joined hands with the same RJD Chief Lalu Prasad whose regime he had called Jungle Raj.

Mr Manjhi claimed that the people will reject the caste and religion based politics of the JD(U) and RJD. When asked whether he will join hands with Nitish Kumar in case there is a hung assembly after the polls, Mr. Manjhi said he will never go with JD(U) leader whatever results are. The election for 243 members state assembly is scheduled to take place later this year.
