MANJHIFormer Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi led Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) will fight upcoming assembly elections in Bihar along with BJP. Talking to media after a meeting with BJP President Amit Shah in New Delhi today, Mr. Majhi said his party will contest the polls within NDA fold. He, however, he said the seat sharing arrangement will be decided later. Mr. Majhi said defeating JD(U)- RJD alliance in the state is the main motive of HAM and the BJP.

Few months back, Mr. Manjhi was expelled from JD(U) following his fight with Nitish Kumar for Chief Ministership and later he had floated his party. His entry in the NDA fold may give a boost to the alliance as the former Chief Minister enjoys clout in Scheduled Caste groups in the state. Union Ministers Ram Vilas Paswan’s LJP and Upendra Kushwaha’s RLSP are other allies of NDA in the state.
