BJP president Amit Shah today took a dig at infighting in the Mulayam Singh Yadav family and targeted ruling SP as well as BSP and also criticised Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi.
Kicking off the UP poll campaign, ‘Parivartan Rally’ in Saharabpur today, Amit Shah said neither SP or BSP is bothered about development of the state. He said the state has lagged behind in development because of the SP and BSP rule and that only a BJP government with full majority can bring it back on track.
Taking a dig at both the parties, Amit Shah said, while on one hand, it is the Chief Minister abusing the SP state unit president, on the other BSP supremo is abusing both of them and no one is concerned about the development of the state.
Criticising congress, BJP chief said, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi is politicising One Rank, One Pension scheme.
In his address, BJP President Amit Shah also said that the practice of triple talaq should be abolished. He said that other parties are doing politics over the issue of triple talaq.
He said that customs like Triple Talaq should be abolished and Muslim women should be given equal status.
BJP started its Parivartan Rath Yatra from Saharanpur today. It was flagged off by BJP national president Amit Shah today. He will also flag off Parivartan Rath Yatras from Jhansi tomorrow, Sonbhadra on Tuesday and from Ballia on Wednesday.
On 24th of December, all these four Yatras will culminate in Lucknow where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address a mega rally. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal, Union Minister Kalraj Mishra and party leader Sanjiv Baliyan were among those who addressed the huge gathering at the Parivartan Rath launching event.
