The Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee JPCC has lambasted state government for the declining law and order situation of the state and demanded that if things fail to improve than the Chief Minister should resign from his post.
Addressing a joint press conference today party leader Chnchal Chaterjee, Alok Kumar Dubey, Rajesh Thakur, Suryakant Shukla and Niranjan Paswan demanded intervention of the central government following 18 incidents of murder and loot with in a week in the state. JPCC general secretary Rajesh Thakur said the situation of Kolhan from where the chief minister himself hails is pathetic.
He said on the basis of fake rumours being circulated on social networking sites murders are taking place in the area which shows there was no law and order. He said the recent murders have also impacted the communal harmony in the region. The party leader said while on hand the chief minister was making tall claims through hoardings and advertisements on the other hand innocent people were being killed in the state.
They said incidents in Chaibasa, Saraikela, Garhwa and East Singhbhum are on an increase where killings are being done by branding people as alleged child lifters. The JPCC demands that the Centre should intervene as the law and order machinery in the state has been a complete failure and there was an atmosphere of fear in the state, the leaders said.
