Robert vadra FBReacting over Prime Minister Narendra Modi replacing Mahatma Gandhi in the iconic picture of spinning the charkha in the calendar and diary of the Khadi and Village Industries Corporation (KVIC), Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra today said the disrespect to the Father of the Nation will not be tolerated by Indians.

‘Mahatma Gandhi Ji, and his title is above every political party and deserves to be protected. Dragging Mahatma Gandhi into senseless controversies is unacceptable and trying to grab his place as “face of Khaadi” is extremely demeaning.
It has hurt sentiments of millions of Bapu lovers,’ Mr Vadra said in a Facebook post.

Slamming the comments by Haryana Minister Anil Vij that PM Modi was a better brand ambassador of khadi than Gandhiji, Mr Vadra said, ‘I am truly shocked and deeply saddened to see that the current Government leaders have resorted to cheap and dirty politics.
