Turkey will continue to transfer troops out of northern Iraq in an effort to deescalate tensions with the Iraqi government. The move came a day after US President Barack Obama urged Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in a phone call to deescalate tensions with Iraq by withdrawing its forces from the region. In a statement the Turkish Foreign Ministry yesterday said, it will continue the process of withdrawing its troops stationed in Mosul province.
