Saudi Arabia’s ageing King Salman merged the Royal Court with that of his new heir, further streamlining administration a day after a shake-up in the line of succession.
The official Saudi Press Agency said based on a proposal from Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef, who was appointed on Wednesday, issued an order for joining the crown prince’s court and royal court.
Mohammed bin Nayef, the powerful interior minister, replaced Prince Moqren bin Abdul Aziz bin Saud, the last son of the Kingdom’s founder Abdul Aziz bin Saud in line for the throne.
