Talking to media on board the special aircraft in way to back home from Dar-es-salem after completing his six day long tour to Africa he said that India must convince Pakistan through bilateral negotiations that it was in their own interest that they must tackle the problem of terror in the region.

On the disclosure of David Headley in a US Court, Dr.Singh said there is nothing new in it.
Replying to a question, the Prime Minister said the DMK is UPA’s partner as of now and there is no change in it. He said the CBI is working on 2G scam investigations and it would not be proper for him to make any comment as the matter is in the court.

He said the basic agenda of UPA remain to accelerate the tempo of economic growth to 9 to 10 per cent and also to ensure that growth benefits all sections of society. Dr. Singh said that increase in investment in education, health, rural development and agriculture are the key priorities of the government.

On possible next cabinet reshuffle, Dr. Singh said that when he gets back home he will apply his mind to it.
