Pakistan has claimed to have shot down two Indian aircraft inside Pakistani airspace and arrested two pilots one of them is injured and admitted to hospital. Another pilot was shown on TV.
One Indian pilot is being treated at CMH and the other is in custody, says DG ISPR
Pakistan Military spokesperson Major General Asif Ghafoor claimed that Indian Air Force (IAF) crossed the Line of Control (LoC) and two of their aircraft were shot down by PAF inside Pakistani airspace.
“One of the aircraft fell inside AJK while other fell inside IoK. One Indian pilot arrested by troops on ground while two in the area,” Director General of the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor said.
Meanwhile, Flight operations were suspended across major airports in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday, in wake of the escalating tensions between Pakistan and India.
According to Lahore airport manager, flight operations at Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Sialkot and Islamabad airports have been suspended
All incoming and outgoing local and international flights have been suspended until further orders, he added.
“A flight from Guanghzou, China has been sent back,” the manager further said.
