Terming the sitting arrangement of Congress president Rahul Gandhi in the 6th row of India gate lawns during the Republic day parade as cheap politics, the party on Friday said for it the celebration of the Constitution came first.
‘Modi government’s cheap politics is for the whole world to see. Putting aside all traditions, the arrogant government deliberately seated Congress president Rahul Gandhi first on the fourth row and then on the sixth row. For us, however, the celebration of the festival of the Constitution comes first,’AICC media incharge Randeep Surjewala said on twitter.
The Congress had yesterday said seating the party president, who has always been given a first row seat in the Republic day parade, on the fourth row was not in the spirit of democracy.
