Reacting on the outcome of the Gujarat election, Congress said on Monday that the Party has ‘lost the front, but has won the War’. Reacting on the results, Congress Spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said, “We have won the hearts of the people as we raised the real issues focused on the development whereas BJP tried to raise non issues.”
Ashok Gahlot, AICC In-charge of Gujarat, said that it’s the moral victory for the Congress. We never diverted the genuine and developmental issues in spite of the provocation from the BJP.

Congratulating the Congress workers for giving a tough fight to the BJP in the Gujarat assembly elections, party president Rahul Gandhi on Monday said that he was proud of them as they demonstrated that Congress party’s greatest strength was its decency and dignity.
Accepting the verdict of the people and congratulating the new governments in both states, Rahul thanked the people of Gujarat and Himachal for the love they showed him.
‘My Congress brothers and sisters, you have made me very proud. You are different than those you fought because you fought anger with dignity. You have demonstrated to everyone that the Congress’ greatest strength is its decency and courage,’ Rahul said in a tweet soon after the results of the assembly elections showed the Congress giving a tough fight to the BJP in the state, leading in nearly 82 seats while the BJP led in 97 seats.
