National Green Tribunal, NGT, today slammed Delhi government and the neighbouring states over their action plan on ways to deal with severe air pollution in the national capital.
The green panel directed them to file a detailed document to tackle the problem by tomorrow.
A bench headed by NGT Chairperson Justice Swatanter Kumar observed that action plans submitted by the states was merely an eye-wash and they have only copy-pasted the recommendations of the Supreme Court-appointed Environment Pollution (Prevention and Control) Authority.
The tribunal observed that air pollution was never at the normal level in Delhi and directed Punjab, Haryana, UP and Rajasthan governments to file the action plan afresh.
