More than 15 thousand people are reeling under the fury of flood in Kokrajhar, Dhemaji, Chirang and Bongaigaon districts. Official sources said that 78 villages have been affected in recent surge of water. 3 rivers are flowing above the danger level. No relief camps have been set up as of now.
Meanwhile, state Disaster Management Authority has issued Low Urban Flash Flood alert today for the next 24 to 36 hours at Anil Nagar, Nabin Nagar, Tarun Nagar, Ganeshguri, Hatigaon, Dispur area of Guwahati city .
