The government critic and anti-corruption activist Zuzana Caputova is set to become the first female President of Slovakia.

The Slovak Statistics Office said, environmental lawyer Caputova got over 58 percent of the ballot after results from 91 per cent of polling stations were counted, while EU energy commissioner Maros Sefcovic garnered nearly 42 per cent.

Sefcovic congratulated 45-year old Caputova on her win.
