Government has revoked the passport of controversial Islamic preacher Zakir Naik. Sources said, the passport has been revoked by the Regional Passport Office, Mumbai on the request of National Investigation Agency.
The NIA is probing the alleged terror activities and spreading communal hatred by Naik and his organizations including Islamic Research Foundation.
The Agency had questioned his family members in this connection. It is believed that now the NIA will explore the legal possibility of his deportation or extradition.
