Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has recommended a CBI probe into the July 25th incident of Hamirpur district’s Bewar township in which a youth was killed in clashes over suicide by a 17-year-old girl who was allegedly molested by two local youths.
Family members of the deceased had later lodged FIR against unidentified policemen in connection with the youth’s death. Principal Secretary information Navneet Sehgal said, family member of the deceased met Chief Minister demanding a CBI probe and the CM sought a report from the district magistrate and superintendent of police Hamirpur on the basis of which he has now recommended CBI probe into the case.
