Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that swachhata abhiyan has taken the shape of a public movement with the help of citizens especially the youth.
Addressing the Global Citizen India Festival through video conferencing this evening, Mr Modi said, the campaign for sanitation in the country is going on since two years and the young people have taken the initiative forward.
Thanking the citizens for working shoulder to shoulder in this cleanliness drive, the Prime Minister said, he is looking forward that citizens especially the youth will continue to do so.
Mr Modi said, India is a young country and it’s future is build on the choices the youth make and the actions they take. He said, the young India brings an energy and idealism which is unparalleled.
Mr Modi said, poverty is the biggest curse for any civilized society and malnutrition, unemployment, corruption, the impurity has biggest impact on the poor.
