The Mumbai Police today questioned Rahul Mukherjee son of former Star TV CEO Peter Mukherjee in connection with the 2012 Sheena Bora kidnap and murder case.
The interrogation comes in the wake of Peter Mukherjee’s claim that his son was involved in a relationship with Sheena Bora.
Peter Mukherjee had also claimed that his wife Indrani Mukherjee, prime accused in the case, had kept him in the dark about her relationship with her daughter Sheena Bora and had earlier introduced Bora as her sister.
Mumbai police had arrested Sanjeev Khanna, former husband of Indrani Mukherjee in connection with this case from Kolkatta on Wednesday.
Indrani Mukherjee wife of former Star TV CEO Peter Mukherjee was arrested by the Mumbai Police recently as prime accused in the Sheena Bora kidnap and murder case. She has been sent to police custody till 31st August.
She has been charged of murdering her daughter, Sheena Bora in 2012 and disposing off the body with the help of her driver Shyam Rai and former husband Sanjeev Khanna.
According to police sources, the murder mystery came to light after the arrest of Indrani’s driver Shyam Rai in an illegal arms case.
During the interrogation Rai told police that he was involved in the murder of Sheena along with Indrani and Khanna. Rai’s revelation lead to arrest of the estranged couple.
Earlier , Indrani Mukerjee had claimed that Sheena Bora was her sister but the intrrogation revealed that Sheena is a daughter of Indrani from her first marriage.
After the first marriage Indrani married Sanjeev Khanna and in 2002 she got married to Peter Mukherjee.
Meanwhile, Indrani Mukherjee’s lawyers who appeared in the Bandra Metrolopitan Magistrate’s court in Mumbai on Wednesday argued that she was falsely implicated in the case.
