Seven elephants were electrocuted on Saturday morning at Odapada block in Dhenkanal district of Odisha.
Out of seven four are male, two female and one calf.
The incident occurred in Kamalanga village when a flock of thirteen elephants came across a high volt electric wire that was hanging very low.
State Forest Minister said that the connection was given to the Railway project site and that it was not a domestic line.
