Pakistan Prime Minister’s advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz will be attending the Heart of Asia (HoA) conference. The conference is scheduled to take place in Amritsar on 3rd and 4th of next month. External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Vikas Swarup said, India has received an official confirmation in this regard.
The conference, which will be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Afghan President Ashraf Ghani is expected to see participation of over 40 countries. This would be the first high-level visit from Pakistan after the announcement of Comprehensive Bilateral Dialogue in December last year which never took off in the wake of terror strikes which led to intense tension between the two countries.
