Joshi, a suspect in the Samjhauta Express blast case, was shot dead at Devas in Madhya Pradesh on December 29, 2007. It is suspected that he was killed because he had become a liability to the Hindu-right wing group involved in the blast.
According to Rohini Salian, the special public prosecutor Madhya Pradesh police on Tuesday produced a warrant issued by a local court in Devas. As per the warrant, the Devas court has directed the MP police to produce Sadhvi in court.
Meanwhile the special Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) court here has directed jail authorities to make arrangements for her travelling to Devas either by train or by flight but not by road.
On Friday the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) separately questioned sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur in connection with five bomb blasts in different parts of the country and the murder of RSS worker Sunil Joshi at Devas, Madhya Pradesh.
However according to reports during investigation Sadhvi remained uncooperative and did not reply to most questions. “She did not even say ‘yes’ or ‘no’ and intermittently complained of dizziness,” an investigator said.
Doctors at JJ Hospital, where Thakur is lodged from December last year, said Thakur is “very cheerful” and does her daily work without any problem.
Though Sadhvi was arrested in February in the Joshi murder case, police had not sought for her physical custody.
Maharashtra Anti-Terrorist Squad had arrested 12 people, including Thakur, Lt Col Srikant Prasad Purohit, and Sudhakar Udayban Dwivedi alias Dayanand Pandey alias Swami Amritanand, in connection with the 2008 Malegoan blasts in which seven persons were killed and over 70 injured.
