Fearing his imminent arrest in a CBI case of cheating and forgery, he is trying to flee the country. A missing report had been lodged in Kankhal police station of Haridwar late last night by his gunner Jayendra Singh Aswal.

CBI has issued a ‘Look Out Circular’ against Balkrishna to prevent his escape from the country.
On Sunday   the agency lodged the FIR under Section 12 of the Passport Act leveling charges of forgery and cheating.

The CBI has issued a look-out notice against Mr. Balakrishna after it registered a case against him under section 420 (cheating) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) for procuring the fake degree and violation of section 12 of the Indian Passport Act (knowingly furnishing false documents for getting passport).The agency had also approached the External Affairs Ministry seeking revocation of Mr.Balakrishna’s passport.

According to the report,  Aswal reached Mr. Balakrishna’s Divya Yog ashram residence to accompany him to his Patanjali office Sunday  but Mr. Balakrishna asked him to go to the office alone saying that he would leave later.

However,  Aswal said, he waited till late in the evening but Mr. Balakrishna did not come. After returning to Divya Yog ashram, Mr. Aswal inquired about him but his whereabouts could not be known following which he filed the report with the police.

The officials of ashram denied having any knowledge as to where Mr. Balakrishna had gone for work, police said.

Meanwhile, Haridwar Senior Superintendent of Police Kewal Khurana said the police would investigate all the missing cases of Haridwar including that of Shankar Dev, Guru of Baba Ramdev. Shankar Dev had gone missing from his Haridwar ashram four years ago.

Balkrishan is heading several companies of Ramdev, including the Rs 500 crore mega Patanjali food and herbal park at Haridwar.

A host of top employees of the Patanjali Ayurved Limited including its vice president C L Kamal, have quit.

The plans of introducing nearly 20-30 new products have been postponed indefinitely, with the fate of several companies like Patanjali Parivahan Limited and Patanjali Hydroponics Limited, facing an uncertain future.
