Enraged over Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remraks against Dr Manmohan Singh in the Rajya Sabha, the Congress today said his remarks against the former prime minister were unacceptable and unbecoming of anyone holding such a high post.
PM said: ‘It is Manmohan Singh who knows how to take bath wearing a rain coat.’
Senior Congress leaders P Chidambaram, Anand Sharma and Kapil Sibal expressed their deep resentments and disappointment over Mr Modi’s choice of words for Dr Singh while talking to reporters after Prime Minister’s remark against Singh during the course of his reply to the Motion of Thanks on the President’s Address in the Upper House.
The Congress and other Opposition members had staged a walk out in the House in protest. Kapil Sibal said that congress will not allow PM to speak in House untill he apologise for his remarks.
