Prime Minister Narendra Modi began his engagements in Washington with meeting some of the top CEOs of Global multinationals today.

Mr Modi discussed various issues with the global honchos on investments as well as job creation. Later in the day, the Prime Minister will attend a community reception at Virginia near the Capital City.

Economic relations are high on Prime Minister’s agenda during this three day visit to the United States. The Chief Executives of some of the biggest companies have met Mr Modi.

A CEO round table is also in progress. Mr Modi is understood to have discussed issues like collaborations and Make in India and invite the corporates for stepping up investments.

The other issues on the table are likely to be the tightening of visa rules by the US and creation of jobs. The CEOs are also likely to be apprised of structural reforms undertaken in the past three years in India.
