BJP President Amit Shah has said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led BJP government at the Centre has taken the country to new heights of development.
Mr Shah said the success achieved by BJP in recent elections in different states is a testimony to the fact that the programmes and policies of Modi government have been well received by the people across the country.
BJP president who is on a two day visit to Jammu addressed intellectuals and prominent citizens last evening and said that the development model adopted by the government has been very successful.
Mr Shah maintained that the BJP has been given mandate by 70 percent population of the country and has government in 13 states and coalition governments in four states. Mr Shah said that BJP is a party with a difference as it is the only party which is based on internal democracy.
Earlier yesterday, Mr. Shah chaired the party’s meeting. Today Shah is to inaugurate a library and release a book at the BJP State office. Later in the day, Mr Shah is to hold meetings with various party functionaries of the state BJP and meet the local owners of print media.
