Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that trust deficit between tax payers and tax administration need to be reduced.
Prime Minister said while inaugurating Rajasva Gyan Sangam, a first of its kind interactive session with the top brass of the 2 revenue collection arms of govt- the CBDT and CBEC today.
The 2 day conclave will deliberate on issues related to taxpayers and effective implementation of fiscal laws and government policies.
Briefing Media persons on the brainstorming session of tax collectors, revenue secretary Hasmukh Adhiya said that Prime Minister suggest a RAPID formula for tax collection.
Revenue Secretary said that Prime Minister asked tax officers to nurture the aspiration of common people.
The conclave will deliberate on a host of issues related to taxpayer services and effective implementation of fiscal laws and government policies.
Central Board of Direct Taxes and Central Board of Excise and Customs are holding the conference simultaneously. The conference provides a platform to assess the performance of the year gone by and to deliberate on emerging issues without any hierarchical barriers.
