Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday interacted with personnel of Indian Air Force, Army, NDRF, ITBP, top Police officials of Deoghar district, local administration and civil society who were involved in the rescue operation of passengers in Trikoot mountain ropeway mishap at Deoghar in Jharkhand.
Speaking on this occasion, the Prime Minister lauded their role and praised the efforts of the joint team in rescuing 48 people struck in cable trollies. Mr. Modi said that the team worked round the clock for three days and carried out a difficult operation, saving the lives of several citizens. The Prime Minister said that the country is grateful to all the security personnel who saved the lives of passengers.
Talking to the Deputy Commissioner of Deoghar district, Mr. Modi thanked his efforts and praised his quick action at the time of crisis.
The joint rescue operation was carried out by these forces along with local administration when the tourists were stranded in cable cars, following an accident at Trikoot mountain in Deoghar District. The accident occurred due to the breaking of the sap of the ropeway operated on the mountain.
