modiPrime Minister Narendra Modi hoped that all parties will cooperate to make the Parliament session fruitful. Talking to media outside Parliament, Mr Modi expressed confidence that second half of the Budget session will also see high level of constructive discussions. He said he is grateful to opposition parties for their cooperation in the previous session.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu also appealed political parties to debate and discuss all the issues concerning the people in Parliament without disrupting the proceedings. Talking to reporters in New Delhi, Mr Naidu expressed hope that the second part of budget session will be constructive. He said many important bills like Land Acquisition, Goods and Services Tax and Black Money are before parliament.

Meanwhile, Congress has said it will continue to oppose the land bill and raise the same in Parliament. Talking to reporters outside parliament, party leader Shashi Tharoor said that the proposed amendments to the UPA land legislation are anti farmer and his party will not accept them.
