PM GatiShakti National Master Plan for muti-modal connectivity has completed three years today. This master plan was launched in 2021 to provide multimodal connectivity infrastructure to various economic zones.

PM GatiShakti has integrated 44 Central Ministries and 36 States and Union Territories for planning and executing infrastructure projects.

It has achieved a milestone of assessing 208 big-ticket infrastructure projects worth over 15 lakh crore rupees of various ministries. The National Logistics Policy under this scheme aims to reduce logistics costs, improve India’s Logistics Performance Index (LPI) ranking to be among the top 25 countries by 2030, and promote data-driven decision-making. The government is also considering providing access to non-government users for the data relevant to the planning of the infrastructure and developmental activities.

Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has said that PM GatiShakti has brought a paradigm shift in how India plans and implements infrastructure projects. He said, that by integrating data from multiple Ministries and States, the government has created a more efficient, transparent, and outcome-driven system. The Minister said the impact of PM GatiShakti is visible in faster project execution, lower logistics costs, and better services reaching every corner of the country.
