The Government today said that the Committee constituted to review the pension system for the Government employees has not submitted its final report and also that there is no proposal of constituting the 8th central pay commission for the revision of pay of central government employees.
In a written reply in Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary said that representations have been received from time to time from various quarters to scrap the New Pension Scheme and to restore OPS. The same were placed before the Committee constituted to review the pension system.
