Pakistan has detained several militants belonging to Jaish-e- Mohammad and sealed its offices. The arrest of several individuals was announced in a press release from the Pakistan Prime Minister’s Office, after Nawaz Sharif chaired a high-level civil-military meeting in Islamabad to discuss the regional security situation and the investigation into the Pathankot airbase terrorist attack.
India believes that terrorists belonging to the Jaish-e-Mohammad are behind the Pathankot terror attack on January 2 in which seven security personnel were killed.
Meanwhile fate of the Foreign Secretary -level talks scheduled for Friday hangs in balance with just two days for Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar to go to Islamabad for talks.
