Opposition members in the Rajya Sabha today demanded copies of amended Goods and Service Tax bill. Raising the issue, Naresh Agrawal of the Samajwadi Party complained that several members have not received the copies after Union Cabinet gave its nod to the amendments.
Responding to this, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said the amendments were already circulated. Deputy Chairman PJ Kurian said, he directed the Rajya Sabha Secretariat to make available the copies. Later, it was informed that the copies were available for the members. The GST bill is listed for consideration and passage in the House for tomorrow.
