Global crude oil prices surged today as escalating conflict in West Asia heightened concerns over disruptions to oil flows. Brent crude was trading 2.9 per cent up at 100 US dollars and 81 cents per barrel in intra-day trade. West Texas Intermediate crude was trading 2.7 per cent up at 95 US dollars and 55 cents per barrel, when reports last came in.
