North East United FC has retained the Durand Cup trophy. In the final on Saturday, the defending champions scored a stunning 6-1 win over Dimond Horbour FC at the Yuva Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata.
Goals from Parthib Gogoi and Asheer Akhtar took defending champions to a 2-0 lead by the half. Alaaeddine Ajaraie, Andy, Thoi Singh and Jairo Samperio scored the other goals for the winners.
