“We have got lead of various suspicious people. Various linkages are being examined. We also have identified scooter in which one of the bomb was planted”, home secretary said.

Talking to media here, home secretary said that various CCTV footages were being scrutinized and all the people in them have to be recognized by local people. He also said that voluminous 11 series of footages were being examined and being put to data base and being matched.  

Earlier an unnamed investigator told the state-run DD News that footage from one of the sites revealed “suspicious behaviour of some people”. The three explosions killed 18 people and injured over 100.

Meanwhile Maharashtra Chief Minister, Mr. Prithviraj Chauhan while speaking to a private Television news channel said today that the officers of Maharashtra Anti-terrorist Squad and Mumbai Crime Branch helped by National Investigation Agency, NIA and NSG have formed teams to crack the case. 

Mr. Chauhan said every angle is being probed and the investigating agencies have detected certain patterns and some indicators.  He also said that there is a need for further strengthening the informer network in the areas where terrorist activities happen.

The procurement of weapons, bullet proof vests and installation of CCTV cameras are to be taken up on an urgent basis.  The Government’s endeavour is to make sure that no terror attacks happens in Mumbai and Maharashtra again.

He said, the Government would strive hard to enhance the intelligence capability and forensic ability.
