National Commission for Women has issued notice to Congress President Rahul Gandhi over his statement that Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked a woman to defend him on Rafale deal debate in Parliament.
NCW said the remarks on Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s reply to a debate in Parliament were extremely misogynistic, offensive, unethical and shows disrespect towards dignity and honour of women in general. The Commission said it strongly condemns such irresponsible and disparaging views of persons holding responsible positions.
