Prime Minister lauds contributions of youth in development of the nation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday lauded the contributions of youth in the development of the nation. Mr Modi said the nation’s youth is a force for global good. He said, over one lakh 50 thousand startups have been started by youth in the last ten years and they are leading the world’s top companies.
Speaking at annual National Cadet Corps (NCC) rally at the Cariappa Parade Ground in New Delhi PM said the government has taken several initiatives in the last decade by removing many obstacles faced by the youth. He said Mudra Yojana, National Education Policy and easier access to scholarships helped the youth to achieve new heights.

The Prime Minister stressed working towards achieving the goals set for becoming a developed nation. He said people must follow the Panch Pran by taking pride in the country’s legacy, fulfilling their duties with honesty, working for developed India and removing any trace of the colonial mindset. Mr Modi urged the people to work for the unity of the nation. Mentioning the ongoing Mahakumbh, the Prime Minister said, the unity of the country is visible in the Maha Kumbh and the Maha Kumit is the Maha Kumbh of unity.
Lauding the contributions of NCC cadets, the Prime Minister said, the NCC has constantly inspired the youth towards nation-building. He said the number of cadets has increased in the last ten years by reaching 20 lakh from 14 lakh in 2014. He said, NCC cadets play a pivotal role in disaster management and sports activities.
On this occasion, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth, Chief of Defence Staff Anil Chauhan, and other senior officers were present. During the event, a cultural programme by more than 800 cadets was performed, showcasing the commitment of NCC towards nation-building. The rally also witnessed participation by 144 young cadets from 18 friendly foreign countries.
A total of 2361 NCC cadets participated in the Republic Day Camp this year which included 917 girl cadets, which was the highest ever participation by girls cadets. The participation of these cadets in the PM Rally will mark the successful culmination of the month-long NCC Republic Day Camp 2025 at New Delhi. Theme for this year’s NCC PM Rally is ‘Yuva Shakti, Viksit Bharat’.
A cultural programme by more than 800 cadets showcasing commitment of NCC towards nation building was performed on the day. Participation by 144 young cadets from 18 friendly foreign countries added fervour to this year’s Rally.
More than 650 volunteers from Mera Yuva (MY) Bharat, Education Ministry and Tribal Affairs from across the nation also attended the NCC PM Rally as special guests.
