Union Minister of State for Home G Kishan Reddy has inaugurated the National Centre for Divyang Empowerment at the CRPF Group Centre in Hakimpet near Hyderabad today. This is first of its kind establishment to re-skill and rehabilitate the Divyang Warriors of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) who suffered life threatening injuries in line of duty.

Speaking on the occasion, Kishan Reddy said the government is committed for the welfare of CAPF and all possible assistance and cooperation will be extended for the welfare of the Divyang Warriors.

Stating that the CRPF was always in the forefront in service to the nation, including during COVID pandemic, he said the NCDE is a salute to those forces who made sacrifices in line of duty. Recalling the union home minister’s vision – Manav Samvedana Varsh, Mr Reddy said market driven expertise like computer skills and others like sports will be imparted on the Divyang Warriors to empower them and enable them to serve the force and the country.

He recalled that the govt initiated many measures to strengthen para military forces on the occasion. He expressed confidence that the NCDE will be an institute of excellence soon and all trained forces will be assured reemployment in their choice of sector. DG CRPF Dr A P Maheswari and other senior officials of CAPF and the state police have attended the programme.
