Southwest monsoon has arrived in Kerala. Widespread rains have been reported in most parts of the state today. Top officials of Met Department said that widespread rain is expected during the next 48 hours.
Monsoon which was playing hide and seek has finally set in Kerala.The state was expecting South-west monsoon by the 30th of last month.State Revenue Minister Adoor Prakash has directed District Collectors to deal effectively with any rain-related incidents. State Disaster Response Force has been put on a high state of alert. Steps have been taken to open 24-hour control rooms at short notice.
