The Mission Olympic Cell (MOC) has approved the proposals of Commonwealth Games medallists Avinash Sable and Tejaswin Shankar’s to train and compete abroad. Youth Affairs and Sports Ministry said, during the meeting, MOC also approved jumpers Jeswin Aldrin, Praveen Chithravel, and T. Selva Prabhu’s proposal for training and competitions in Greece, Italy, and France respectively. All athletes’ expenses will be covered under Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS). This will cover their Airfare, Medical Insurance, Local Transport costs, Boarding and Lodging fees, and Out of Pocket Allowance amongst other expenses.
