She added that half of these beneficiaries were girls.
It may be recalled that President mentioned extensively about minorities in her speech at the beginning of the budget session on February 22, 2010. This year minorities were expecting the result of her last year promise made to the minorities.
In her speech to the same house on February 22, 2010 she said that government has developed a comprehensive roadmap for the development of minority communities. Credit flows to the minority communities have raised to Rs. 82000 crore in 2008-09, which exceeds 12% of the total priority sector lending. She also said that the Multi-sectoral Development Programme for minority concentration districts has started off well.
Minorities wanted to know the current status of government’s programme in president speech.
