A fierce gunfight broke out between militants and army today morning when a group of militants attacked Army Camp at Kalsuri ridge in Tangdhar near Line of Control in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district in Jammu & Kashmir,. Sources said the attack was launched around 0820 hrs and and the army retaliated triggering fierce encounter outside the army cantonment.
Reports said an oil depot of army caught fire and some vehicles damaged in flames. The gunfight was going on till now. An Army spokesman in Srinagar told newsmen that no loss of life or injury on either sides was reported till now adding details were being ascertained.
