The Mandi-Kullu-Manali National Highway No.21 in Himachal Pradesh, has been closed for vehicular traffic after a massive landslide that took place in Dwada area of Mandi district today morning.

The traffic has been diverted through Kotla state highway and people have to cover nearly 150 kilometers extra to reach Kullu or Mandi, When the big part of this hillock all of sudden came down on the national highway the vehicles passing through the area stopped them immediately on the roadside, averting a major tragedy.

The people informed the authorities in Mandi about thirty kilometers from the spot. Later the authorities begins its operation on war footing to clear the boulders and debris but it would took nearly two to three days to clear it.
